First and foremost is a romantic quest. It’s an independent New Media venture and news organization, searching for the ideal mix of both professional and citizen journalism – in order to create new forms of news+comments multimedia feeds and online news ecosystems and entities. The old media world is ending, and the new… well, does not pay well at all. But at least it can very easily make us all masters of better and more powerful information tools, made available cheaply and relatively easy to use. Now is the time to utilize all these digital assets, now that our home country Greece feels more than before her strong interconnection with the rest of the world
We do not like received wisdom and platitudes. We believe that shrewd and independent research and new, transformative ideas are the main goals of our endeavor . We value greatly courage, imagination, precision, genuine concern for people and everything that informs and respect the public. We favor a broader and deeper democracy, an inclusive economy distributing privileges to the many – because we find ourselves quite restricted and uninspired in what is becoming essentially a rather neoliberal and unjust world. Our answer to the big challenge is a really post–Fordist news venture, combining cooperation with competition and innovation, attending to the needs of the young and the restless worldwide.
