Golden Dawn spokesman punches female communist MP live on TV. Then claims she hit him first
Athens public prosecutor Eleni Raikou has issued the arrest of a deputy from Golden Dawn party after he physically assaulted two left-wing deputies on live television during a morning political show.
Ilias Kasidiaris threw a glass of water at SYRIZA MP Rena Dourou, before slapped Liana Kanelli communist party member three times.
Mr Kasidiaris threw the water at Dourou after she brought up his alleged involvement in an armed robbery in 2007. His court case was yesterday adjourned to 11 June.
He then assaulted Kanelli after she stood up to protest.
Even though TV station’s employees attempted to keep Kasidiaris, he finally left.
Golden Dawn leader Michaloliakos said that Kasidiaris was provoked by Liana Kaneli.
