“Still this is not today’s agenda.  Our attention is centered into achieving a successful completion of the current program until the end of the month.  That is what the current talks are about.  We are talking about what is essential, the completion of the terms of this program.  Any discussion of an extension of the program is, at this point, misjudged.”
 
On a completely different level, the Greek Finance Minister, Y.Varoufakis stated that the creditor’s demands for the continuation of cut backs in order to save money, cannot lead to reforms.
 
According to Mr. Varoufakis a reform is like a surgical operation while “…  cutbacks, the butchers art of chopping away with the cleaver is not a reform.”
