Greek Deputy Minister of State and Independent Greeks party MP Terence Quick made it clear that “the Greek people are inherently Europe-oriented, and this is non-negotiable”, adding that the Greek government is aiming at “an overall viable solution”.
Regarding possible reactions that might arise, Quick was rather emphatic: “I would rather be injured by criticism myself, than let Greece suffer the injury”. Commenting on last night’s meeting between the Greek PM Alexis Tsipras and his European counterparts Angela Merkel, François Hollande, and Jean-Claude Juncker, Quick said that it resulted in “the Eurozone eventually starting to discuss whether the Greek debt is viable”.
