Syriza and New Democracy campaign advisors have used the final days of elections to boost their leader's profiles.
The polls still suggest no party will win an overall majority, a situation that has remained unchanged throughout the six-weeks campaign.
Former Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras appears to enjoy some popularity among voters. His latest campaign slogan calls on Greeks to ““vote for the prime minister.” On Tuesday, Alexis Tsipras presented Syriza's program that, among others, aims to boost growth and re-establish the social welfare system.
New Democracy's leader, Vangelis Meimarakis is using his straight-talking style to appeal to the hearts of the conservative middle class voters.
Meimarakis has repeatedly said that a coalition government seems almost certain after the elections and has expressed his surprise that Alexis Tsipras refuses to cooperate with his party.
In a recent interview with Greek media he repeated his stance and said, referring to Alexis Tsipras, that “I say to citizens that there is no second chance”.
The Syriza leader is calling the Greeks to give him a second mandate. He stresses that “the choice is between Syriza which represents the many, and ND, which represents the few.” Tsipras accused New Democracy as being part of the “old and corrupt political establishment” and asked the voters to ” break with the past”.
The electoral campaign ends on Friday with the last pre -election speech of Alexis Tsipras in Syntagma square in Athens.
Vangelis Meimarakis will address his voters on Thursday in Omonoia square.
