The representative of the German Ministry of Finance, Martin Jaeger stated that :”On July, the Greek government made a specific deal with its partners. This deal is quite flexible already. We have been very generous towards Greece. There is absolutely no reason to alter our path”.

At the same time he stressed that Greece must honour all terms of the bail-out deal, “there are no favours” was his answer. “The troika is examining at the moment how far the Greek side has fulfilled the conditions which are necessary for the next 2 billion (euros) to be paid. There are still considerable gaps that need to be closed,”
