The original application is available both in English and Greek and it includes the leak of the draft agreement for the new Greek bailout program, as formulated in early April as well as the transcript of the conversation between the International Monetary Fund’s executives, as these were revealed by Wikileaks. Those leaks shed significant light on what the powers that be plan for the future of Greek citizens and shifted the international balance, which proves the dynamics of the act of publicizing the negotiation.
Now Wikileaks is offering even further assistance by supporting the OpenProject in our joint effort for greater transparency. So, starting today, Wikileaks will be accepting documents related to the Greek negotiation in its platform, naturally, and, as always, safeguarding the complete protection of the source. These documents will be shared with the editorial team of ThePressProject and will also be published in OpenProject.
Wikileaks possesses an innovative solid system for document submission with encryption and without logging digital footprint, and it has proven that it can effectively protect its sources. With this assurance, whoever has evidence and documents for what is being decided behind Greek people’s backs can now participate in this transparency project by aiding the flow of information and consequently the democratization of the negotiation.
As for the process of forwarding documents to Wikileaks, so as to reach us, further directions (available both in English and Greek) will follow. The system will be in operation by Friday evening.
