The French President Francois Hollande has stated that his country rejects the EU-US free-trade agreement “at this stage”
F.Hollande has added that he is not willing to put his country's “fundamental principles of (our) agriculture, (our) culture” at risk. He also noted that he will not accept “non-reciprocity on access to public procurements”.
The French reaction comes only a day after the TTIPLeaks by Greenpeace, a 243 page revelation of the laws and rules that are being negotiated between US and EU.
The European Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström has already reacted to the leak through her blog, calling it an alarmist “storm in a teacup”.
