The program is implemented by the Greek Asylum Service in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the European Support Office on Asylum (EASO).

It will last two months and its aim is to pre-register all applicants who have entered the country from January 1, 2015 until March 19, 2016; some of the refugees and migrants who have entered Greece during that period already hold expired papers.

Pre-registrations also take place in the former international airport of Elliniko, which is the government’s next top priority to evacuate as it has been privatized since last year.
