In a bid to pass the uncertainty over Brexit as soon as possible, France and Germany state that they are in complete agreement over the future steps that have to be taken.
According to statements by several officials, both form the Brexit and the Bremain side, Britain is not willing to activate the 50 article of the Lisbon treaty. While it is evident that the UK is not willing to leave the EU in a hurry, the European leaders appear eager to form a concrete stance in view of recent developments.
On Monday, F.Hollande, A.Merkel, M.Renzi and D.Tusk are to meet in Berlin to disscuss and formulate a common position regarding the Brexit. Both F.Hollande and M.Merkel have already had a telephone conversation after which they stated that they share the absolute same position towards Britain.
Both the French President and the German Chancellor have noted that all 27 remaining countries must strengthen their unity.
