A 27 year old Syrian refugee was killed in what appears to be a failed mass bombing attempt. The man was carrying a suicide bomb device with enough explosives to kill several people as the German police has informed. The incident took place in Ansbach Bavaria during a music festival
It has become known that the bomber had already attempted to put an end to his life twice before, a fact which brings doubt to the conclusion that this was a terrorist attack.

The German Foreign Minister stated that the perpetrator had unsuccessfully applied for asylum in Germany about a year ago. He had been allowed to remain in Germany due to the situation in Syria.
The young man had attempted to enter the festival grounds which had up to 2500 people but had been not allowed to due to his backpack which made him appear suspicious. A few minutes later an explosion took place at a nearby restaurant.
German officials are reluctant to call this a terrorist attack since the man’s previous history of suicide attempts raises questions about his motives.
