Journalists and filmmakers Aris Chatzistefanou and Katerina Kitidi document the history of Ecuador΄s debt audit committee and the birth of a similar effort now underway in Greece. The documentary, shot both in Greece and abroad, follows the travails of the global economy since the 70s and explains, using short animation segments, concepts such as odious and illegitimate debt. Academics David Harvey, Samir Amin, Kostas Lapavitsas, Gerard Dumenil, philosopher Alain Badiou, Ecuador debt audit committee head Hugo Arias, CADTM president Eric Toussaint, journalists Avi Lewis (creator of The Take) and Jean Quattremer (Liberation), as well as Manolis Glezos (icon of the Greek resistance) and Sara Wagenknecht (vice president of german party Die Linke) contribute with insights and analysis.
