In this new two-part series, New Democracy is aiming to portray how the greek story will play out depending on the outcome of the January 25th elections.

In the first part, Syriza comes to power. Just days later, the Alexis Tsipras promised negotiaton with our creditors and partners collapses. Soon, liquidity problems emerge. The state coffers are empty. The country defaults. Tourists decide not to show (but why? they'd have it so much cheaper…) Pensions and subsidies are not disbursed. Fuel runs out. So does medicine. Thankfully the video stops there – famine did not make the final cut.

In the second part, Democracy wins and forms a government. The negotiation (not the one Mr Samaras had promised as a candidate in 2012 but never carried out – a new one) with the creditor is a success, the greek economy is shielded and debt relief is achieved. Taxes are reduced and the market is jumpstarted. The property tax (the one that Mr Samaras's government imposed) is cut and so are income taxes on enterprises (you guessed right, the ones Mr Samaras's government raised). Tourists flood the country and plaster their cash everywhere. Long story short, spoiler alert, Greece is saved and soaring.

Cut to punchline: “New Democracy – the responsible power.”
