In his text, he sharply criticises the government, accusing it of undermining the rule of law, squandering public resources and deepening social inequalities. At the same time, he launches a personal attack on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, claiming that he treats the state as ‘party loot’ and undermines institutional balances.

Tsipras also argues that the government maintains political dominance not because of its effectiveness, but because of the absence of a credible and strong alternative governing proposal from the opposition.

In this context, he says that social discontent is not enough to bring about political change unless it is accompanied by a comprehensive reconstruction of a progressive governing proposal, with a clear vision and programme coherence.

Concluding his intervention, he speaks of ‘democratic disintegration’ and the recomposition of the progressive space, stressing that a new political architecture is needed on the Left, which, as he notes, is a ‘social and national necessity’ in a period of mounting challenges.
