P.Iglesias stated that the solidarity of Podemos towards Greece is a given since they know that the Eurozone powers hit Greece so hard in order to send a message to Spain.
He called A.Tsipras “a lion who fought against stronger opponents” and he added that “politics is like a football game, one either watches from the seats or runs in the field”.
He also said that Syriza must take advantage of the variety of voices and opinions that exist in the European socialist parties and build new alliances in order to withstand the war”.
When asked if his party will form a coalition with the socialist party of Spain he clarified that Podemos must be strong if they are to bring any change to the socialist party. “A weak Podemos party will not be able to bring an air of change in Spain” he said.
Finally he spoke about the Spanish polls which bring Podemos at second place:”the polling companies constantly give Podemos lower percentages than those we actually score in the actual elections”.
