The vessel, which was reportedly carrying a total of 24 people (11 men, 7 women, and 6 minors), was intercepted by the authorities. Two individuals suspected of being human traffickers were arrested.
The migrants were brought to the port of Chios for processing, registration, and identification. They will likely be transferred to a designated reception facility. The confiscated speedboat is being held as evidence in a preliminary investigation led by the Central Port Authority of Chios.
