The incident occurred around midday at a construction company’s worksite. According to available information, the 52-year-old forklift operator was fatally injured while loading pipes when, under circumstances that remain unclear, one of them, weighing approximately one tonne, fell on and crushed him.
The man was taken by ambulance to Ippokrateio Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
