The incident occurred last night in Nikaia, with the woman calling the police and saying, “Come, my husband stabbed me.” Immediate Action police units rushed to the scene, but the man had already left the house. After a search, he was found and arrested on Artemidos Street, and the woman was taken to the hospital.
However, the medical examiner claimed that the woman had injured herself. Following this development, the 57-year-old man, initially detained as the attacker, was released.
Reports indicate that the man had been arrested for domestic violence once in 2021, twice in 2022, and three times in 2024, each time being released on his own recognisance.
