Over 214,000 voters participated in the second round, a 28.5% drop from the 303,000 who voted in the first round.

Androulakis: “Today there are no winners and losers. The winner is PASOK”

In his victory speech, Androulakis declared, “Today there are no winners and losers. The winner is PASOK. From tomorrow, united, we will take our movement higher, where it belongs, given its history and contribution. The difficult times are behind us, and the best are ahead.” He emphasised PASOK’s duty to offer hope and prospects to all Greeks, particularly in light of broken promises from other parties.

“We have a duty to win the next elections. I will do everything in my power to end New Democracy’s dominance as soon as possible,” he added. Androulakis outlined his goals to rebuild the National Health System, strengthen public education, and protect workers’ rights, while thanking his fellow candidates for demonstrating the party’s maturity and strength.

Doukas: “I will always be on the front line”

Haris Doukas graciously accepted the results, saying, “I want to thank all PASOK members and friends who supported me. I congratulate Nikos Androulakis on his victory. We fought cleanly and honestly and created a strong political current. I will continue to fight for our principles of democracy, justice, and transparency. I will always be here on the front line.”

Geroulanos: “United under Androulakis’ leadership”

Pavlos Geroulanos also extended his congratulations to Androulakis, emphasising unity: “We move forward under his leadership—united, coordinated, and determined. From tomorrow, we start the fight for victory in the national elections and the end of the Mitsotakis government.”

Diamantopoulou: “PASOK will emerge stronger”

Anna Diamantopoulou expressed her optimism for PASOK’s future: “A new and interesting political landscape has emerged. Androulakis now has the experience and will to synthesise different opinions into a coherent strategy. PASOK has come out of this contest stronger.”

Katrinis and Giannakopoulou praise Androulakis

Michalis Katrinis said, “He has the mandate of the citizens to make PASOK great and victorious.” Nadia Giannakopoulou echoed this, stating, “The people of PASOK gave you the authorisation to lead the party forward. I will always stand by you with all my strength.”

Congratulations from Mitsotakis, Pappas, and Kasselakis

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis congratulated Androulakis and expressed his desire for a meeting. SYRIZA’s Nikos Pappas and party leader Stefanos Kasselakis also offered their congratulations.

  • Nikos Androulakis: 59.92% (125,820 votes)
  • Haris Doukas: 40.08% (84,149 votes)
  • Total voters: 213,001
  • Valid votes: 209,969
  • Invalid/blank votes: 3,032
