We support the Global Sumud Flotilla’s demand for an immediate end to the illegal blockade of Gaza, for accountability for Israel’s war crimes, and for the unhindered passage of humanitarian aid. We call for the lifting of all forms of “collective punishment” imposed by a murderous state and we defend the right of the Palestinian people to live in dignity on their land.
At this moment, the internationalist flotilla is under attack by Israeli forces. As voices of information, we see it as our duty to spread the truth, to defend peace and to stand with those who persist in the struggle for freedom, armed only with perseverance and their own bodies.
In response to fabricated claims about alleged links between the Global Sumud Flotilla and Hamas, we demand that the Greek government – even at this late stage – stands on the right side of history. It must take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the flotilla on its journey to its final destination: the shores of Gaza.
We also call on Greek society to remain vigilant. From this moment, our friends and comrades are at risk of being seized by the Israeli army. We add our signatures to those of all media and information platforms that stand in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla.
We call on every collective, party and organisation that supports the flotilla to condemn the illegal attack it is facing and to press for sanctions against the murderous state.
