According to Plakias, the lawsuit focuses on what he describes as inflated and unnecessary costs. He cites, in particular, an invoice for 75,000 euros issued by a fencing company. Plakias argues that the expense was unjustified, claiming that the debris from the accident could have been deposited at the Tempe Police Station, an already fenced and guarded area located roughly 400 metres from the crash site, rather than on land owned by a private third party.
Plakias stated that he filed the complaint together with lawyer Leonidas Koumpouras, alleging overpricing and partial execution of public works linked to the restoration of the accident area.
