According to an announcement by the association, Karystianou’s resignation was approved by a majority of board members after her public statement. In line with the association’s statutes, her seat on the board is being filled by the first alternate member.
Until the convening of the general assembly, the duties of president will be exercised on an interim basis by the association’s vice-president, Pavlos Aslanidis.
The board also decided to convene a general assembly on 1 February 2026 at 11:00am, in accordance with article 11 of the articles of association. The agenda will include the approval of a revised statute, the approval of the report of the outgoing board of directors and the election of a new board.
