The Acropolis Museum is displaying a Lego Acropolis built by Ryan McNaught, a lego-certified professional
The model, a gift from Sydney’s Nicholson Museum took roughly 300 hours to build and recreates the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, the smaller Erechtheion temple and the site’s monumental gateway, the Propylaea.
It also has a humorous side to it, including scenes of Lord Elgin and his workers taking off with the Parthenon marbles and a modern twist with Elton John giving a concert at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
