The Attica taxi drivers’ Union has announced that it will go on strike on 28 February, joining the nationwide demonstration. "Furthermore, as we feel the need to express our solidarity in a practical way, we will collaborate with the organisers to announce designated points where volunteer taxi drivers will pick up and transport protesters to the demonstration free of charge," the statement reads.

Full Announcement:

“The Attica taxi drivers’ Union (SOTA) will go on strike on 28 February, as every worker should on that day.

We stand up to the occasion and, together with society as a whole, take part in the nationwide demonstration, demanding justice in a loud and clear voice.

Moreover, as we feel the need to show our solidarity in action, we will collaborate with the organisers to announce designated points where volunteer taxi drivers will pick up and transport protesters to the demonstration free of charge.

Further details regarding the pick-up points will be provided to both the drivers who wish to participate and the passengers.”
