M.Draghi urges the government to move on with the reforms that have been agreed while he considers their completion a necessary prerequisite in order to start the discussion on the Greek debt.

In an interview he gave to the Sunday edition of the Kathimerini, the central banker of the Eurozone, stated that the second installment of the funds that have been allocated for the recapitalization of the Greek banks, 15 bn Euros, will only be available after the first evaluation of the governments' compliance to the agreed measures has been completed. He clarified that this will not be later than November 15th.

The president of the ECB added that the participation of private funds in the recapitalization of the banks is “desirable” so that fewer public moneys will be used.
