The European Commission will publish today, Tuesday its assessment of the adequacy of the measures taken by Greece for the control of its external borders, in response to the Council recommendations, under the Commission΄s road map to save the Schengen treaty
Also today, the second monthly review regarding the relocation of refugees is expected to be presented by the European Commission, without, however, striking results so far, as the process proves to be very slow.
European Commission’s spokesperson, Mina Andreeva said that the College of Commissioners is expected to adopt the report evaluating the measures taken by Greece in response to the recommendations of the Council in order to address the issue of the control of external borders.
After violent incidents between FYROM police forces and refugees erupted at the makeshift camp of Idomeni, the European Commission called once again for the relocation of refugees, with spokeswoman Mina Andreeva warning them not to push ahead with “a dangerous and irregular onward journey”.
