“We need to ensure a satisfactory operating environment for all European experts assisting Greece to improve its economy and find its way back to growth” said European Commission spokesperson Margaritis Schinas regarding the European technocrats and their Greek counterparts working in Greece’s privatization fund.
Greece expects to receive a tranche of 7.5 billion euros after the review completion because its loan obligations amount to about 5 billion euros until July.
Athens also hopes that the central bank’s board meeting on June 22 will decide to put Greece in the quantitative easing (QE) program, meaning it will accept Greek bonds as collateral.
