Femicide in Menidi: 84-year-old man pushes wife to her death

Another tragic case of femicide unfolded this morning in the district of Menidi, with a 79-year-old woman killed and her 84-year-old husband arrested as the alleged perpetrator.
The fatal incident occurred at a residence on Efiveias Street, where the elderly man reportedly pushed his wife during an altercation. She fell, struck her head, and died instantly, according to his statement to the police.
After the incident, the man alerted his son – who lives in the same building – and informed him of what had happened. The son called for an ambulance, but emergency services arrived too late to save the woman. Doctors at the hospital confirmed her death upon arrival.
Police were notified by paramedics, leading to the husband’s arrest. A case file is being prepared, and he is expected to appear before a public prosecutor.
