Reflecting on recent political challenges, Kasselakis stated, “Yesterday we faced a dilemma: should we legitimise the process through silence, or speak up? Silence is not tolerance; it is complicity. Every day, members stepped forward, lining up to vote for delegates. Against all odds, we managed to win the party’s core support in just a few weeks. That’s why they withheld the result. History will judge them.”

Kasselakis also addressed divisions within the left: “Let’s remind those who chose the other side that fairness matters. They had VIP rooms for vetted delegates, while others were kept at a distance. As I said yesterday, I am always with the people.”

Describing the new movement, he said, “This is a members-driven movement, not one of state-sponsored executives. You all have an equal role and say in it. We’ve outlined five core pillars focused on sustainable development, social cohesion, climate action, democratic governance, and security – all aimed at bringing back the young talent that our system has forced out.”

When asked about the party’s name, Kasselakis said, “You will decide what it will be called. This movement is yours, not mine. It will be baptised by you. You will own it, and I will serve as your leader.”
