Authorities have also found 26 refugees on land, bringing the total number of survivors to 30, who have since been transferred to the Reception and Identification Centre (RIC) in Samos.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with vessels from the Port Authority and passing ships continuing to search the area for any missing individuals. A team from the Underwater Missions Unit is also on site to assist in the investigation.
According to rescuers, one person is still reported missing.
