Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis made the brazen claim in a televised interview on the morning of 21 February, stating that "anyone attending the rally (for Tempe) is supporting Zoe Konstantopoulou."

Speaking on SKAI TV, Adonis Georgiadis, in an attempt to defend himself against allegations made by the leader of Course of Freedom, Zoe Konstantopoulou, regarding his involvement in the Tempe case while he was Minister of Development, launched an attack against her.

Specifically, he stated:

“Several months after the accident, the Thessaly administrative region requested an increase in the programme budget to cover the cost of payments to the companies that had carried out work in Tempe. Among these works was the so-called ‘backfilling’. This is the supposed involvement she is referring to.”

He also announced that he would take legal action against her.

“I will sue her and file a lawsuit. She will have to come to court and prove my personal involvement. This woman’s vulgarity, her malice—she is a malicious woman, filled with spite. She has no sense of decency. Instead of responding to me politically, she resorts to slander. Yesterday, she even claimed that the train driver who died in the commercial train was a volunteer in Mitsotakis’ office and had been proven to transport illegal materials—so she is accusing the dead,” he asserted.

He then made the statement, effectively questioning the intelligence or motives of those protesting the Tempe tragedy:

“This is the woman you ‘ll be supporting at this rally. Given how things stand, anyone attending the rally is supporting Zoe Konstantopoulou.”
