“On 24 April 2024, the Commission sent a letter of formal notice to Greece for failing to ensure the publication of operating procedures for performance-based navigation at Greek airports, as required by the Commission’s relevant implementing regulation. The Greek authorities have a deadline of two months to respond and address the deficiencies identified by the Commission,” the response states.

EASA has tasked the Civil Aviation Authority of Greece with implementing corrective measures to address non-compliance with surveillance system regulations. The Commission is currently evaluating potential next steps, including the initiation of infringement procedures.

Additionally, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled on April 18 that Greece has not implemented the Data Linkage Regulation. The Greek authorities have been instructed to inform the Commission within two months about the measures they have taken to comply with this ruling.
