When asked about the installment Mr. Tsipras answered:  “don’t worry, we will continue paying.”

In the meantime, contacts continue between Greece and its creditors on the highest political level as well as the various technical groups.  After Wednesday’s meeting between A. Tsipras and Mr. Juncker the goal is to achieve an agreement until June the 14th.

On Wednesday Mr. Tsipras was presented with the proposal from Greece’s creditors which included the continuation of the austerity policy, an increase in the country’s VAT and a vast program of privatizations, collective redundancies and changes for the infrastructure of the public sector.

Regarding the creditor’s proposal, Greek officials commented that it is not just a basis for the beginning of a discussion but something concrete and binding.  On the other hand they claimed that it leaves some room for negotiation between the concerned parties.
