The Council’s agenda, with meetings taking place on Monday and Tuesday, includes hybrid threats, the situation in the Middle East and its implications for European security, as well as the latest developments in Ukraine.
On Tuesday, Dendias will also take part in a discussion on military mobility as part of the ‘Connecting Europe Days’ event.
Participants in the discussion will also include European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius, Romanian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Radu-Dinel Miruță, and European Parliament Vice-President Roberts Zīle, who is responsible for military mobility.
Military mobility forms part of the broader European debate on strengthening defence capabilities and infrastructure to facilitate the movement of military forces and equipment between member states.
