
The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the desecration of the Greek Orthodox Cemetery of Saint Eleftherios in the Tataoulon community of Istanbul.
In an official statement, the Ministry expressed its outrage over the incident, describing it as an affront to the memory and history of the Greek minority in Turkey.
“We unequivocally condemn the desecration of the Greek Orthodox Cemetery of Saint Eleftherios in the Kurtuluş community in Istanbul, which insults the memory and history of the Greek minority in Turkey. We call on the Turkish authorities to take appropriate action against this heinous act,” the statement read.
