As reported by BDS Greece, the petition was submitted today jointly with Greek lawyers who are members of the Alternative Intervention of Lawyers of Athens and members of the Board of Directors of the Athens Bar Association: Athanasios Kampayiannis, Konstantinos Papadakis and Dimitrios Sarafianos.
According to the report, Israel Katz is in Greece until January 22, 2026, holding official meetings related to regional security coordination and military relations between Greece and Israel. Given the limited duration of the visit, the filing explicitly calls for urgent consideration of the case and the immediate initiation of legal measures.
The report stresses that Greece’s jurisdiction and legal obligations are immediately triggered by Israel Katz’s physical presence on Greek territory, underlining that the competent judicial authorities must act without delay.
