About a week ago, the official Turkish employees who were in the Greek island in order to facilitate the application of the EU-Turkey deal on the refugee crisis, were ordered to return back to their country.
The official explanation offered by the Turkish government states that the officials were recalled because their passports had expired and they were expected to return to Greece after further communication with the Greek authorities.
According to Kathimerini, the Greek police has already submitted several requests to allow the re-entrance of those officials in a manner similar to the previous status yet no answer has been given by Turkey.
