The members of the judicial panel that will handle the case involving former Deputy Minister to the PM, Christos Triantopoulos, have been selected by lottery from the Supreme Court. Three regular and two alternate members were drawn. Georgia Adeilini, a prosecutor from the Supreme Court, was selected to serve as acting prosecutor for the proceedings, with Anastasios Skaras chosen as her deputy.

Once again, Georgia Adeilini was chosen to serve as acting prosecutor, with Anastasios Skaras as her alternate.

During the session, MP Zoe Konstantopoulou raised an objection concerning Ms Adeilini’s eligibility. The Speaker of Parliament responded by noting that her term as Supreme Court prosecutor is ending, and the deputy drawn by lot will take over the role.

As a reminder, this judicial panel will assess whether Christos Triantopoulos should be referred to a Special Court. The inquiry relates to his time as Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and whether he may have committed misconduct by attempting to alter the scene of a fatal accident.
