Evidence number 33, which included contacts from Karaivaz’s WhatsApp application, was presented in court. Among the names listed were Dimitriadis, likely referring to the former director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Grigoris Dimitriadis; Kontoleon, potentially referring to the former head of the National Intelligence Service (EYP), Panagiotis Kontoleon; and former police chief Michalis Karamalakis, along with various journalists, associates, and other individuals.

The prosecutor revealed that the CD containing these contacts had been destroyed, punctured by a stapler. Additionally, the data had not been printed, and the authorities made no effort to request a copy of the contents.

This revelation raises serious questions about the content of the CD, particularly concerning the names Dimitriadis and Kontoleon. If these names do indeed refer to the individuals who oversaw the EYP under the Prime Minister, it suggests significant implications.

Both Dimitriadis and Kontoleon resigned in August 2022 following revelations about the surveillance of PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis’s phone.
