According to local reports from onlarissa.gr, tensions escalated sharply when Mr. Agorastos entered the building. Relatives of the victims reportedly confronted him, expressing their frustration and anger over his presence. As the situation grew heated, the former regional governor sought refuge in the conference room and ultimately left the building with the assistance of the police.

The council meeting was postponed due to the disturbance and will now take place on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 2 p.m.
