The ECB can reinstate the waiver for the Greek bonds as long as the country is in a program and the first evaluation is completed. On the other hand, Mr.Draghi put a stop to any anticipation when he clarified that it is still too early to make any decisions towards elongating or the increasing the program of quantitative easing.

On the subject of the bailout deal between Greece and its creditors, Mr.Draghi noted that:”The ECB contributed, according to its legal context, to the negotiations of the program. Furthermore, the ECB kept a close watch on the emergency liquidity assistance (ELA) through the Bank of Greece, within the rules of the ECB and while keeping in mind that the negotiations could come to a successful closure at any given moment”.

He concluded his address to the EuroParliament by reminding that when he spoke to its members he had asked for a fair and complete program for Greece. Mr.Draghi also noted that the achievement of that deal was hsrd for everyone who participated in the negotiations.
