Migrant arrivals continue in the area, with six of the incidents taking place south of Gavdos, one south of Agia Galini and one south of Kala Limenes.
The most recent operation was coordinated by the Joint Rescue Coordination Center and involved a dinghy carrying 39 people, located 30 nautical miles south of Agia Galini with the assistance of a Frontex vessel and aircraft.
Those rescued were transferred to the ports of Karave in Gavdos, Kala Limenes and Agia Galini, before being taken to temporary first reception facilities in the north of the regional unit.
