The Prime Minister’s office confirmed that the visit would be rescheduled in the coming days.

Government spokesman stated, “The visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Lebanon sends a strong message in favour of stability and peace in the region and support for Lebanon in implementing the ceasefire reached on 26 November. The visit is highly symbolic and significant, as Kyriakos Mitsotakis is the first leader of a third country – and a member of the European Union – to visit Beirut after the ceasefire agreement. This underscores Greece’s strong role and presence in the region.”
