At first light today, six aerial vehicles—three helicopters and three airplanes—began continuous water drops on the affected areas. On the ground, 280 firefighters, 46 vehicles, 25 specialized units, and numerous volunteers are working tirelessly to control the fire, according to the Fire Department.

Meanwhile, over the last 24 hours, Greece has experienced 31 wildfires across various regions, with 24 of these quickly extinguished in their initial stages. The Fire Department has launched investigations into the causes of these fires, with local investigative teams and the Arson Crimes Directorate (D.A.E.E.) actively involved.

Authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant and follow safety instructions closely to ensure their protection during this period of heightened fire risk.
