Nikolas Kosmatopoulos a.k.a. Cosmi was born and raised in Athens but lived most of his adult life in B-cities: Bangkok, Berlin, Budapest, Beirut, Brooklyn (NYC), Belleville (Paris) and currently Barcelona, following (and maybe causing) world-changing socio-political events and trends. Initially trained as an economist
(and felt like a Marxist) but quickly moved on to A-ideas, such as Anthropology, Anarchism, Activism. Nikolas is currently researching how experts and states use imaginaries of security and crisis to pacify populations but also how grassroots mobilizations of nomadic spaces, such as the Mediterranean Sea, can expand hope, solidarity and non-governability in Global South.
