While visiting Britain, President Barack Obama said on Friday that the European Union membership has magnified the country’s influence in the world. Obama’s trip to Britain is aimed at supporting the YES campaign ahead of a referendum in June on whether Britain should stay in the European Union
“Britain was at its best when leading a strong Europe”, B. Obama told reporters in London after meeting British Prime Minister David Cameron, adding that the outcome of the referendum was of deep interest to the United States which benefited from Britain being made more prosperous through EU membership.
