‘Now that we have your attention, call elections so that the country can finally turn the page. It is the only service you can offer,’ Tsoukalas said in a statement.
‘Out of place and out of time, the prime minister is celebrating the results of the “My Home 2” (“To Spiti Mou 2”) programme and the approval of 13,461 loans, while the purpose of the programme was to benefit 20,000 people who would buy a home with a low-interest loan. Why is the programme being terminated early in June, while the funds have not yet been absorbed and the loan agreements of many citizens who have made financial commitments have not been signed?
‘As for the measure’s effectiveness in stemming the housing crisis, the figures speak for themselves: in 2025, the cost of rent increased by 10.1%, while the upward trend continues in 2026.
‘The prime minister speaking about banks’ abusive conduct is like the wolf promising to guard the sheep. His own government has produced auctions, abusive fund practices, creditor impunity and the failure to regulate private debt.
‘And by the way:
‘Why does the government not reveal its cards on the inquiry committee into illegal surveillance?
‘Will you block it through fast-track procedures, as reports suggest?
‘Are reports true that you are considering changes to the Penal Code so that the sentence imposed on Tal Dilian and the other three defendants will be lenient? Will you deny these reports, or do they reflect your intentions?
‘In the OPEKEPE corruption scandal, is it true that you will reject the proposal to establish a preliminary inquiry committee for your former ministers? What happened to your view on the natural judge?’
