The incident escalated as police forces attempted to regain control of the Law School. In response, sympathisers of the movement issued urgent calls for a solidarity rally to support the ongoing occupation and resist the police intervention.
Social media posts from activists, like the one from @anametrisi, underscored the tension at the scene, rallying support to prevent police from taking over the building:
