The rally brought together unions, federations, associations, clubs and citizens who gathered to demand justice for the victims.
After the rally ended, clashes broke out between demonstrators and Greek police officers. Police used tear gas and stun grenades, while arrests and detentions were reported in the area.
According to the public broadcaster ERT, crowds in the square condemned the actions of the police as the authorities continued arrests and detentions around Syntagma.
