The vessels involved were identified as Delta Harmony and Matilda. Delta Harmony, which is managed by the Greek shipping company Delta Tankers and sails under the Liberian flag, caught fire after being struck. The fire was extinguished shortly afterwards, and the vessel continued sailing south.

The second tanker, Matilda, is managed by the Greek company Thenamaris. Reports indicate that it was attacked by two drones while anchored without cargo, around 30 nautical miles off the coast.

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium declined to comment on the incident. Ukraine did not respond to a request for comment from Reuters.

There have been no reports of injuries among crew members. Both vessels are reported to have sustained limited damage and are continuing to sail under their own power.
